Kurt Prenzler was presented with a crystal gavel in recognition of his eight years as chairman and his six years prior service as county treasurer. He was first elected Madison County Treasurer on November 2, 2010, becoming the first Republican to hold the office since John Shimkus in 1994.

As Chairman of the Madison County Board, Prenzler advocated for lower taxes, supported businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, and upheld the conservative values that align with the interests of Madison County.
