Our Local Leadership

Mike Walters was elected Chairman of the Madison County Republicans in 2026, bringing over two decades of public service and legislative experience.

He served 23 years as an elected official, including seven years as a Godfrey village trustee, 16 years on the Madison County Board, and 22 years as a Springfield lobbyist.

Walters and his wife, Polly, have been married 34 years and have three children. As Chairman, he aims to strengthen the party, support candidates, and advance Republican principles in Madison County.

 

Jennifer Korte was first elected to the role of Vice Chairman of the Madison County Republicans in 2024.

Korte was appointed to the Madison County Mental Health Board in 2023. She was recently appointed as the Vice President of the Mental Health Board

As Vice Chair, Korte's focus is helping new candidates and educating the public of various legislation that will (or have) impacted the community. She is a fierce advocate for children, senior citizens and for people who have a disability. Korte and her family reside in Highland. 

 

Brad Sewell, a resident of Collinsville, was first elected to Treasurer of the Madison County Republicans in 2020.

He has a long history of serving Collinsville and Madison County in roles such as precinct committeeman, election judge, and "CARD" Commissioner. In April, 2021 Brad was elected as Collinsville Township Trustee. 

Brad and his wife has been long time residents of Collinsville.

 

Stacey Pace, a resident of Troy, was first elected to Secretary of the Madison County Republicans in 2026. 

Pace has a long history of serving Madison County. She was elected to County Board in 2020. She was then hired as the Administrator of Madison County Community Development in 2024. (Madison County Community Development (MCCD) is responsible for administering the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the HOME grant, Continuum of Care (CoC), Energy Assistance, Weatherization and Housing Programs). Pace and her family reside in Troy.
