Madison County Republicans' 12th Annual Patriot Scramble Tees Off to a Great Crowd

On Friday, August 14th, Madison County Republicans hosted their 12th Annual Patriot Scramble at Belk Park Golf Course in Wood River. Foursome registration sold out ahead of the event, with registration opening at 7am and a shotgun start at 9am, followed by an awards ceremony once play wrapped up.

Under the leadership of Mike Walters and Tom McRae, the event brought together friends, families, supporters, and community members for a day that doubled as both a fundraiser and a genuine community gathering. Beyond the golf itself, the scramble gave local candidates a chance to interact directly with participants throughout the day, making it as much about connection as competition.

By all accounts, the day delivered on every front: a fun event, a successful fundraiser, and a strong turnout of people simply enjoying each other's company on the course.

With the Patriot Scramble behind them, Madison County Republicans are shifting focus to fundraising efforts for candidates heading into the next election cycle.
