Jimmy Ford and Madison County Republican Party Hosted Donation Drive Benefiting The Good Samaritan House
COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — Jimmy Ford and the Madison County Republican Party hosted a community donation drive on Saturday, May 16, in Collinsville, Illinois, collecting suitcases, canned goods, and toiletries for families and individuals in need. All donations collected will benefit The Good Samaritan House in Granite City.
Thanks to the generosity of community members, organizers collected more than 88 suitcases and bags filled with hygiene products, along with canned goods and other essential items to help local residents facing difficult circumstances.
“We’re proud to support the incredible work being done at The Good Samaritan House especially while families are struggling with high prices,” said Jimmy Ford. “Something as simple as a suitcase can mean the world to someone rebuilding their life, and we encourage everyone in our community to come out and put people over politics.”
Erica Harriss also joined the event and assisted with the donation drive efforts.
Organizers thanked everyone who contributed to the successful event and emphasized the importance of continued community support for local charitable organizations serving Madison County residents.
Jimmy Ford is running for State Representative in the 112th and Senator Erica Harriss is running for re-election for Senate District 56.
