Madison County Republicans Draw Cheers at Schweizerfest Parade

Thirteen members of the Madison County Republicans marched in the Annual Schweizerfest Parade in Highland, IL, drawing cheers from more than 500 spectators who lined the parade route on a Saturday evening.

The June 13th parade gave the organization a high-visibility platform to connect directly with voters and put candidates in front of the community face to face. Vice Chairman Jennifer Korte led the effort, and by all accounts the crowd was ready for them.

Schweizerfest is one of Highland's most beloved traditions, and this year's parade was no exception. For the Republicans, it was less a campaign stop than a genuine community moment, a chance to show up alongside their neighbors and be part of something Highland looks forward to every year. The event also produced an immediate result off the route. A community member reached out following the parade to volunteer with the organization, exactly the kind of connection these efforts are designed to spark.
