Madison County GOP Vice Chair on Senate Bill 3341: 'Our state has become a major hub for abortion access'

Jennifer Korte, vice chairman of the Madison County Republicans, said Senate Bill 3341 reflects a broader trend in Illinois policy that reduces parental involvement in minors’ health care decisions while failing to protect unborn life or support families.

"The passage of Senate Bill 3341 is another reminder that Illinois lawmakers are moving further away from policies that involve parents in important healthcare decisions affecting minors," Korte said to Metro East Sun. "Since the Dobbs ruling, our state has become a major hub for abortion access, attracting thousands of out-of-state patients every year. This trajectory undermines respect for unborn life and weakens the role of families in guiding children through difficult decisions.
