Madison County GOP Celebrates Successful 10th Annual Patriot Scramble Golf Event

Over $32,000 Raised to Support Conservative Candidates in November Elections

WOOD RIVER, IL – The Madison County Republican Central Committee proudly hosted its 10th Annual Patriot Scramble Golf Event on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Belk Park Golf Course in Wood River. With a turnout of 31 enthusiastic teams and beautiful weather, the event was a resounding success, raising over $32,000 to support conservative candidates in the upcoming November 2024 elections.

"We are deeply grateful to all the committee members, volunteers, and players who contributed to making this event a tremendous success," said Ray Wesley, Chairman of the Madison County Republican Central Committee. "The support from our community is a testament to our shared commitment to promoting conservative values and ensuring our voices are heard in the upcoming elections."

The funds raised from this event will be used to back Republican candidates in Madison County from President Trump and include down-ticket races, helping to ensure strong leadership that aligns with the values of Madison County residents.

Madison County Treasurer Chris Slusser, who also attended the event, expressed his appreciation for the community's support and the event's impact. "It was a fantastic event, and I want to thank everyone who came out to support us. The funds raised will significantly bolster our Republican candidates in Madison County Board races and ensure we have the resources needed to run effective campaigns this fall," said Slusser.
